With his pictures, Jouko also wanted to remind us that despite injustices, we are surrounded by beauty and love. By photographing the Finnish landscape in his morally tough Finnish View series, he also softened the series as whole.
I remember Jouko being somehow enthralled by these markings made by people on themselves.
